    Exhibition Le Montansier, a theater for Versailles
    This historical exhibition will bring together documents from the City's collections, ranging from the creation of the theater by Marguerite Brunet, known as "Mademoiselle Montansier", to the period of management of Marcelle Tassencourt in the 1990s.

    Pierre-Hippolyte Pénet, Heritage Curator
    Pierre-Hippolyte Pénet, Curator of the exhibition, will return to the exhibition on the Théâtre Montansier, presented at the Archives of Versailles, and will review the history of this exceptional place since its inauguration in 1777 by King Louis XVI and the Queen Marie-Antoinette to the present day: successive transformations of the Theater, major figures having frequented it (on stage and in the hall), difficulties encountered over the centuries by the various directors, actors and singers to satisfy the public demand Versailles.

    Round Table Hearing and Seeing: A Sensitive History of the Theater (18th - 20th Century)
    Since the eighteenth century, the priority given to viewing or listening has determined very particular theatrical configurations, both in the layout of the theaters themselves and in the devices of staging.
    It is this story of the senses in the theater that will be devoted this round table organized as part of the 240th anniversary of Montansier. It will bring together historians such as Martial Poirson, professor at the University of Paris 8 Saint-Denis, Jean-Claude Yon, professor at the University of Paris, and Pierre-Hippolyte Pénet, curator at the Museum of Lorraine and curator of this anniversary.
