    LOCATION

La Terrasse de Mademoiselle is ideally located in the historic district of Notre-Dame, a peaceful area that's still only a stone's throw from the Château and other top tourist sites, shops (Place du Marché, Rue de la Paroisse) and stations (in particular Versailles Rive-Droite, 10 mins away on foot).

Besides the château, its grounds, the Grand Trianon, Marie-Antoinette's estate with the Petit Trianon and the Hameau de la Reine, the city and its remarkable buildings are all key sites to visit, which can take a few days.

Versailles must also be experienced at night, whether to see the Night Shows and Night Fountain Shows in the château grounds, the opera shows at the Royal Opera, equestrian shows at the Equestrian Show Academy, concerts by the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, not to mention the many gourmet establishments (2 with Michelin stars, including the famous Gordon Ramsay, 5 with Gault et Millau toques) or simply friendly restaurants within the city. If Paris is a moveable feast, as Hemingway said, then Versailles is a royal one!

Versailles is also an ideal base for discovering the many treasures of the center of Paris (trains from the Versailles Rive Droite railway station next to the apartment will take you there in 25 minutes) and the Parisian West: Château de Breteuil, Jouy-en-Josas and its museum of Toile de Jouy, Marly and its grounds, Meudon, its observatory and its Rodin Museum, Port-Marly and its château residence of Alexandre Dumas, Rueil Malmaison (Napoleon's Château de la Malmaison), Rambouillet and its forest, Saint-Cloud, St Germain en Laye and its château, Sèvres and its Museum of Ceramics, Thoiry and its zoological park, the Vallée de Chevreuse (Château de Dampierre).

To ensure you get the most out of your stay, we provide you with a booklet of recommendations and are happy to give you advice either before or during your stay.
