To keep children occupied for around an hour and to encourage a love of cultural heritage, nothing could be simpler.... tell them the real story!
Start the day in the company of Pierre and Lucie, our two little detectives of Versailles: they will take the whole family off on an adventure... Your children will love helping them solve a mystery, which will take them to the Saint Louis district, and you will be astonished to discover a different side to a town you thought you already knew.
I liked discovering the Saint Louis district with the detectives, it's a great idea! Well done and thank you
Nice weather? Then let's take a picnic down to the water's edge or out by Marie-Antoinette's sheep. And if you don't want the hassle of doing all the work, some of our local restaurants will deliver a meal to you – all you have to do is enjoy!
After lunch, visit the educational farm in the Queen's Hamlet: goats, cows and horses will amaze even the smallest visitors. While all this is going on your teenagers will be having a ball on a Segway trip in the Palace Park... unless they fancy brushing up their knowledge of the French Revolution on a guided tour of the Royal Tennis Court!
Looking for a show to see? Discover the Chapiteau Méli-Mélo, which organises wonderful circus shows for the whole family. You can even sign up your children to circus skills workshops!
