Presentation

Immerse yourself in the history of the French Revolution! The Royal Tennis Court, built for the court of Louis XIV, is famous for the oath taken by a group of deputies of the General States the 20th June 1789. Transformed into a museum in the 19th century, this place recounts the events of 1789, from the convening of the General States by Louis XVI to the revolutionary days of October which saw the departure of the Court… including the abolition of privileges and the Declaration of Human Rights. A founding story for today's France!
