A history of textile design in industry and fashion since the 18th century
This heritage exhibition traces the links between artistic creation and the textile industry since the 18th century. It examines the place of artists in the creation of designs for textiles and fashion, the diversity of their status and the evolution of the recognition of their art. Thus, Jean-Baptiste Huet, William Morris, Raoul Dufy, Sonia Delaunay and Christian Lacroix have left an indelible mark on the repertoire of decorative arts.
