In order to fully enjoy your visit, we recommend you to pick up your ticket at the Tourist Office before 11:00am and 2:00pm.
Then, you will have to go at the main ticket office of the Palace at the South Ministers wing


  • The Palace of Versailles is closed every Monday
  • For security reasons and due to the Vigipirate plan, the Versailles Tourist Office is not required to keep any luggage in storage during the time of a visit. Thanks for your understanding.
  • The palace is free every first Sundays of the month, from November to March.
  • To prevent cases of unexpected events, those tickets are undated and valid for one year.
  • It is necessary to pick up your ticket directly at the Tourist Office of Versailles.
  • Only one entry per day is possible.

The entrance to the Palace is free for (with presentation of a proof):

  • Under 26 years old living in the European Union
  • Under 18 years old living out the European Union and students under 26 years having a Visa for at least 3 months
  • Teachers in France, owners of the Pass Education 
  • Job seekers in France
  • People with a disability card and a carer
  • International journalists
