Presentation

This public garden is located on the former site where the tanks were builted by Thomas Gobert, intendant of Louis XIV, in order to power the fountains of the Palace's park.
COVID information:

The Gobert Ponds Garden is open to the public according to the following guidelines:

Physical distances must be respected and groups must not exceed 10 people. Wearing a mask is recommended as in the rest of the public space. Picnics are allowed, as well as sitting on the lawns, under strict conditions of respect of sanitary rules (less than 10 people, physical spacing, respect of barrier gestures). Individual sports are allowed, but team sports remain prohibited.

This park was designed by Michel Desvignes and Iness Hansch, creating a new pedestrian and cycle route lined with long green alleys in the very heart of the city. It forms a new access to the Versailles-Chantiers train station. In the centre of the garden, enjoy a long bench designed by Iness Hansh. A high footbridge bordering the station side will allow you to walk along the garden. A belvedere will also offer you a breathtaking view of the Château de Versailles and the long Avenue de Sceaux.
