We offer a wide range of very comfortable, light and easy to handle bicycles. Perfect for ride on your own, with family as a couple or with friends. We offer a variety of sizes to fit everyone, including children.

The city of Versailles was built to be the centre of power in france and therefore the capital. The tourist sites of Versailles are this connected by large boulevards, cycling them considerably reduces the distance, especially as the city is very flat and therefore wakes it quick  and easy ! What's more, Versailles' wide boulevards and dedicated cycle lanes provide a safe environment, guaranteeing a pleasant and safe experience for cyclists of all abilities.
 

The different routes

Need some inspiration for your cycling trip? The Versailles Grand Parc Convention and Visitors Bureau, which has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label since 2014, has put together a number of suggestions, available online or on site, so that you don't miss a thing during your getaway. On a three-hour tour, explore the plain of Versailles, the Bièvres valley or the town of Versailles and its emblematic sites such as Madame Elizabeth's estate or the more remote areas of the château grounds. These routes, adapted to different levels of difficulty, promise unforgettable moments of sharing and discovery for all!
 

How to book

Before setting off on your adventure, reserve your bike online, choose your rental dates and times, and you’re ready to go! If you prefer, you can also visit our Tourist Office located on Place Lyautey in Versailles to make your reservation in person. 
 

Hardware

SCOTT hybrid bikes are designed to be comfortable and reliable on all terrains, wherever you want them to be. Be careful: same day rental is not available at the moment. Please come directly on site to rent your bikes (subject to availability).

Accessories can be rented on site at the price of €1/accessory:
  • Adult helmets  
  • Basket
  • Child seat 
 Since March 22, 2017, wearing a bicycle helmet is compulsory for children under 12, whether they are drivers or passengers. They are available free of charge on site.
 

Deposit

  • 800€/adult bike
  • 400€/child bike
  • Valid ID (national ID card or passport)
Warranty deposit taken by bank pre-authorisation (by credit card). No deposit can be taken by cheque nor cash. Remember to check your authorisation limit beforehand. The physical card is necessary.

  • From the Château de Versailles: 5-10 minute walk
  • RER C to "Versailles Château - Rive Gauche"
  • RER C, line N or line U to "Versailles Chantiers", then 10-15 minute walk
  • Line L to "Versailles Rive Droite", then 30 minutes' walk or take bus 1 towards "Versailles Université" or bus 3 towards "Versailles Satory" and get off at "Versailles Château - Rive Gauche"
