On 16 and 17 September 2017 will be held the now renamed European Heritage Days.
Youth and Heritage
For this 34th edition, the national theme is youth. At Versailles many sites will offer tours and activities for young audiences.
History of theater in Versailles
On the occasion of the 240th anniversary of the Montansier theater, the Cultural Affairs Department of Versailles has created an urban itinerary dedicated to the history of theater in Versailles. You can find this course directly on the city app. Through this one you will visit the city of monuments in establishments of yesterday and today full of theater.
Discover places usually closed to the public
The Heritage Days are an opportunity to discover sites closed to the public the rest of the year.
Library of the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, National Equestrian Academy of the domain of Versailles, the Court of Scents, the domain of Madame Elizabeth, the Hotel du Barry, the Jussieu allotment gardens, the park of Cenacle Spiritual Center, the Filter Pavilion, the Farriery, the St. Louis Cathedral, the Notre Dame, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Joan of Arc, St. Symphorian or the United Protestant Church of Versailles , the synagogue, the barracks of Croÿ as many sites that will be open to the public on 16 and 17 September in Versailles.

This is the opportunity to visit this building only open to the public on the occasion of the Heritage Days. Guided tours are planned on Saturdays.

The European Heritage Days at the Château de Versailles
Trianon, castles in the countryside
The Heritage Days will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover the castles and the area of Trianon. Visit these places of particular charm, devoted to the privacy of sovereigns.
Take advantage of these days to discover the exhibition "Peter the Great, a tsar in France, 1717" in the Cotelle Gallery before closing the following weekend.
