It was here, in the 18ᵗʰ century, that Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf founded the famous Toiles de Jouy manufactory, renowned worldwide for its refined patterns. The Toile de Jouy Museum now preserves this artistic legacy in an elegant setting.

The town is also home to the Léon Blum Museum, dedicated to the life and legacy of this major French political figure.
