10:30am - Guided tour of the National Equestrian Academy of the Estate of Versailles – 1h30

In the majestic stables of the King, the Equestrian Academy of Versailles founded by Bartabas perpetuate the transmission of traditions linked to the presence of the Court in Versailles. Discover the beauty of this place and meet those who make it live today: horses and equerries are training daily to enchant audiences...

12:30pm - Lunch in a restaurant of the city of Versailles

2:30pm - Guided tour of the King's kitchen garden and the Saint-Louis area – 2h30

Established in 1678 by Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie to supply Louis XIV’s table, this exceptionally fine King’s vegetable Garden has retained its original subdivisions and is a listed Historic Monument. Visitors can discover Versailles’ long tradition of the cultivation of fruit trees and learn something of the successes and the problems experienced by the King’s gardeners.
The visit continues at the heart of the Saint-Louis area. Built on the site of Louis XIII’s former deer park and somewhat laid out in the form of a chessboard around its magnificent cathedral, it is also remarkable for its “carrés”, small houses with typically XVIIIth century mansard roofs.

7:00pm - Gastronomic dinner-theatre in a restaurant of Versailles
