Presentation

Come and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classification of the Bièvre Valley at the Château d'HEC.
The highlight of the celebrations will take place on Saturday 28 June from 10am to 6pm on the beautiful site of the Château HEC in Jouy-en-Josas, courtesy of the HEC school. It's one of the most beautiful places in the Valley that very few people know about, and therefore an ideal place to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its classification by decree, i.e. the official recognition of its high natural and heritage value.

The day is open to the general public, whether or not you live in the Vallée de la Bièvre. For security reasons, registration is required, but is free and immediate. Come one, come all to enjoy the site, the events, take part in the conferences and taste the products of local agriculture (Plateau de Saclay, Vallée de la Bièvre and surrounding area).

Theatrical sketch written for the event
‘Le Marquis de Bièvre en sa vallée’ (the Marquis de Bièvre was the king of puns at the Court of Louis XV) by the “Allumeurs de réverbères” troupe (several performances from 2pm)
Several times during the day, Victor Hugo will stroll through the park and recite the famous poem ‘La Bievre’, which he wrote in the 1830s between Jouy and Bièvres.

Musical and atmospheric sequences
The Brass Band of the Conservatoire de Musique de Versailles Grand Parc (until 1pm)
The famous Afreubo band from the University of Paris Saclay (after 2pm)
The ‘Lost in soul’ band from Igny, with their jazz and soul music (afternoon)

Enjoy your meal!
Bring a canvas for lunch on the grass, but come with your hands in your pockets.
For 12 euros you can enjoy local produce from the Vallée de la Bièvre and Plateau de Saclay: the picnic basket is suitable for one adult or two children and contains: bread and pastries made with cereals from the Plateau de Saclay; vegetable spreads grown in the Vallée de la Bièvre; rillettes from chickens reared in Bièvres prepared by the chef at the Château HEC; tomatoes from the Plateau de Saclay. Nothing but quality artisanal products, many of them organic!
