Bishopric of Versailles:

Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Guided tour of the common areas of the bishopric and exhibition of liturgical objects around the sacrem.


Versailles Court of Appeal:

Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Guided tours of the Versailles Court of Appeal and discovery of the judicial organization and the professions of magistrates, clerks and lawyers. Justice opens its doors!
A place steeped in history, the Versailles Court of Appeal offers you 8 guided tours of the building, each lasting 30 minutes (3 tours in the morning and 5 tours in the afternoon) by a speaker from the Versailles Tourist Office.
At the end of each tour, the public is invited to go to the Assizes room to attend a presentation on "Criminal Justice", then to join the Simone VEIL room for a "Jobs and Judicial Organization" Workshop.
In each of the two workshops, magistrates, civil servants and lawyers will be happy to answer questions from the public.

Finally, an exhibition dedicated to "Women of Justice" is also offered, for the first time in Versailles, to the public.

Versailles Municipal Archives:

Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Versailles Municipal Archives are exceptionally opening their doors! You will be able to discover the missions and behind the scenes of the Archives, through a tour that will take you from the reading room to the conservation stores. Emblematic archives will be presented, as well as a selection of documents relating to the Liberation of Versailles, and aerial views of the city dating from the 1950s.

Temple de Versailles:

Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., discovery of the interior of the temple, its history, explanations of its layout and the cults celebrated there
On the site of the current temple on rue Hoche, there stood, until 1880, a pretty circular colonnade, built under the reign of Louis XV to serve as a resting place during the royal processions of Corpus Christi. This resting place was, from 1821, made available to Anglicans and then to Reformed Protestants. The building threatening ruin, a new building was built from 1880 to 1882, in a very sober neo-Romanesque style, on plans by the city architect Albert Petit. Following the laws of separation of Church and State, the building, owned by the city of Versailles, is assigned to the religious association now called the United Protestant Church of Versailles. It is, with the Centre-Huit, one of its two places of worship.

Hôtel du Département des Yvelines :

In Versailles, visitors will have the pleasure of visiting a place rich in history in this city born from the will of one man: Louis XIV. Versailles was once again the capital of France in the 19th century!
Amidst this decor and furniture that have remained intact, imagine the stay of the King of Prussia who came to be crowned in the Hall of Mirrors in 1871.
Come and discover this sublime building built under Napoleon III and the many film scenes that were shot in a prestigious and historic setting.

Bailly Masonic Temple:

Exceptional opening of a Masonic Temple in Versailles.
Visit in 2 stages:
First: presentation of a visual and audio document presenting Freemasonry (15 mins)
Then visit of the Temple with a short introduction followed by a question and answer game (20 mins).
Individual interviews with Masons possible.


Versailles heating network boiler room

Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The Verséo boiler room exceptionally opens its doors to the general public on Saturday, September 21. This is an opportunity to discover the facilities and operation of the Versailles heating network through a guided tour. The Verséo teams will show you this industrial site which supplies heating and domestic hot water to approximately 11,000 Versailles housing equivalents.
Three time slots are available: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. subject to registration.

Saint Symphorien Church:

Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The church is located on a square at the end of Boulevard de Lesseps, and at the intersection of Rue Saint-Charles, Rue de Montreuil and Rue d'Artois. The church forecourt overlooks a square of the same name as the church, Place Saint-Symphorien.
History
The architect Louis-François Trouard designed his plans, construction taking place between 1764 and 1770.
The church is listed as a historic monument by decree of December 8, 19531 in its entirety.

Saint Joan of Arc Church of Versailles and its great organ

Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.:
Evocation of the life of Joan of Arc interspersed with musical excerpts on the organ then visit of the church, soon to be a hundred years old. Mini concert then detailed visit of the great organ.
