September means the Fête des Chênes Verts, the unmissable festive weekend at the start of the new school year. Enjoy a wide range of activities for everyone on Avenue Dutartre!
Saturday, 13 September
• 1 p.m.: opening of the festival
• 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.: entertainment and surprises
• Toy flea market: A flea market exclusively for children aged 6 to 17 from Chesnay-Courtois: As part of the Fête des Chênes Verts, the toy flea market will be held on Avenue Dutartre. This flea market is exclusively reserved for children aged 6 to 17 from Chesnaycourtois, under the supervision of a parent. For stalls run by younger children (aged 6 to 11), the presence of both the child and an adult is mandatory. Items authorised for sale are: toys, board games, video games and consoles, children's books and comics, DVDs, CDs, and children's bicycles.
• 8.30pm: free concert by Eltonology, an Elton John tribute band, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Sunday 14 September
• From 10.30 am: back-to-school dictation on Avenue Dutartre or at the Pellouard Gymnasium (duration 20 minutes)
• From 12 noon to 6 pm: entertainment and surprises
Throughout the weekend: food and drink - fairground rides - sweet shops - local traders.
Alongside the festival, the Broc’aux jouets toy sale, exclusively for Chesnaycourtois children aged 6 to 17 and under parental supervision, will also take place on Avenue Dutartre. For stalls run by children (aged 6 to 11), both an adult and the child must be present. Only the following items may be sold: toys and board games, video games and consoles, DVDs, children's books and comics, CDs and children's bicycles.
