Formerly the Royal Hospital, Espace Richaud is today a cultural venue offering, in particular, exhibitions on various themes all year round.

Meeting with a Master of Art
On the occasion of the exhibition "Under the Sun of Know-How. Masters of Art in Versailles", the Richaud space offers a time for meeting and discussion, lasting 1h30:

Friday, September 20, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Marion Lainé, restorer of old and modern pianos. Works from the French repertoire of the early 20th century will be played.

Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
Philippe Mérille, engraver and type founder, former student of Master of Art Joël Bertin, works at the Imprimerie Nationale. Accompanied by Christophe Koopmans, engraver and type founder.

Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:
Philippe Nicolas, glyptician. He will discuss the transmission of his know-how, in the workshop he ran within the Maison Cartier for more than thirteen years.

Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
Joël Laplane, luthier. Pieces for guitar played by Louis XIV, like those of Francesco Corbetta, will be interpreted by Jean Bruno Dautaner.

Guided tours of the Richaud hospital and the exhibition "Under the sun of know-how. The Masters of Art"

Immerse yourself in the history of the hospital and the Richaud chapel, the former oratory of the sisters of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul and discover our temporary exhibition.

Travel through the history of the hospital and the Richaud chapel with its unique architecture (a building listed as a Historic Monument)
Immerse yourself in the former oratory of the Sisters of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, which has been entirely reconstructed and renovated, and is now the Academy of Moral Sciences, Letters and Arts of Versailles and Île-de-France
Discover our temporary exhibition "Under the Sun of Know-How. Masters of Art in Versailles"
