Lambinet Museum - Dramatised reading of ‘Une partie de campagne’ by Guy de Maupassant
Presentation
Rediscover Maupassant's ‘Une partie de campagne’ in a theatrical reading that brings back to life all the piquant and melancholic charm of the Belle Époque.
Published in 1881, Maupassant's short story recounts the escapade of a family of Parisian shopkeepers to a guinguette on the banks of the Seine. Light, sensual, ironic and melancholic, it inspired one of Jean Renoir's most beautiful films. Isabelle Mentré invites you to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the late 19th century, echoing the paintings in the exhibition.
