Rendezvous in the garden at the Maison Littéraire de Victor Hugo

On 7 and 8 June, the Maison Littéraire de Victor Hugo is taking part in the 22ᵉ edition of the ‘Rendez-vous aux jardins’, an event initiated by the Ministry of Culture.
A number of highlights will be staged over the two days in the ten-hectare grounds of the Château des Roches.
The exhibition ‘Victor Hugo and Les Misérables, from reality to the ideal’ will be complemented by events in the park throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, actors will be bringing Victor Hugo's texts to life and giving visitors the chance to go on literary walks.
On Sunday, we welcome the UNIVERSLAM - Unis vers le slam association, for an afternoon of poetry and music performances in the open air.
At 3pm, 4pm and 5pm, slam demonstrations led by King Bobo, Aladin, Michel Dréano, Orcy, Charles Piquion, Roz and Thinga will explore the key themes addressed by Victor Hugo.
These demonstrations will be followed by an open stage (open to all) of slam and poetry.
The great 19th-century writer's commitment to the abolition of poverty will come to life through committed contemporary art.
