A plunge into Sylvain Tesson's Siberian solitude, where silence and freedom are the real riches.
William Mesguich brings to the stage the exceptional experience of writer-adventurer Sylvain Tesson. Far from the city and the crowds, he chose to isolate himself in the middle of the Siberian forests, where his only activities were fishing for food and chopping wood for fuel. He rediscovers the joys of solitary reading and reflection.
Sometimes with poetry and humour, he draws us into his cabin: "What if freedom consisted in possessing time? What if wealth came down to having solitude, space and silence, all things that future generations will lack?"
