Four painters who are friends have collaborated on this exhibition, which is dominated by abstract art, offering a sensory and emotional window onto the world.
Each self-taught artist has a personal and professional background that they personalise in their pictorial expression. Whether through their work with materials, shades of black, refined compositions or fantastical characters. This exhibition is enriched by the uniqueness of each artist, their otherness, as well as the common confluence of energies, the wealth of creativity and freedom of expression. We find a common ground around sensoriality, emotion, and instinct translated into the different works and their resonance with the viewer. The differences between each artist become the common thread, a kind of coherent and fluid journey through the exhibition.
Although painting is a passion, a personal investment, and above all a pleasure, it is often referred to as “the artist's work”. We show modesty and humility, we convey emotions, reverie, shared pleasure, but rigour, discipline and repetition of gesture are essential for production and creation. In this exhibition, we offer works not to be conceptualised but to be experienced, felt and shared.
