Presentation

A show by Raphaël Pichon
Orpheus is undoubtedly the opera of operas: from Monteverdi to Rossi, at the origins of the lyric art, then with Gluck imposing the reform of the opera in Italian in Vienna, then in French in Paris, finally with Berlioz in a romantic version, (and before Offenbach who brilliantly parodies it) the amorous fate of this Greek poet never ceases to invade the theatre stages. After the sudden death of Eurydice, Orpheus leaves to seek his wife in the Underworld. His song has the power to appease the Furies and animate the Happy Shadows, allowing the couple to return to the path of light... towards their destiny.
