For the festive season, the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles is opening the doors of the Hôtel des Menus-Plaisirs for a special Discovery Day featuring workshops, performances, tours and more.
Program:
From 11:00 to 18:00: digital treasure hunt “The Papillon Saga in Versailles” (All ages / Duration: 45 minutes)
11:00: workshop “Discovering Baroque: Instruments” (ages 6 and up / Duration: 45 minutes)
2.30pm: workshop “Discovering Baroque: Costumes” (ages 6 and up / Duration: 45 minutes)
3.30pm: show “Loup XIV and Nursery Rhymes” (ages 2-6 / Duration: 40 minutes)
4.15pm: guided tour (all ages / duration: 45 minutes)
5pm: meet a researcher (all ages / duration: 1 hour): ‘The birth of the concert in France: musical academicism as an artistic ideal’ with Bénédicte Hertz
