Once again this year, the Victor Hugo Literary House is taking part in “Rendez-vous aux jardins”, the Ministry of Culture’s major spring event celebrating parks and gardens, on 6 and 7 June 2026.
This year, the literary events will focus on Victor Hugo and *Les Misérables*. Literary activities will be on offer throughout the day in the park. A treasure hunt will also be organised, as well as a tea room.
In the park, meet the actors who bring Victor Hugo’s writings to life: poems, texts about the characters from Les Misérables, and love letters exchanged over 50 years between Victor and his muse Juliette.
A treasure hunt will take you “In the Footsteps of Les Misérables”, in search of little booklets that will help you (re)discover nine characters from Les Misérables through quotations from Victor Hugo’s novel and illustrations by Gustave Brion.
But you’ll only find them in the park once you’ve solved the riddles and other poetic puzzles.
