Le petit pianiste - Songs and puppets
He doesn't speak, or rather he hasn't spoken since he started high school. She no longer walks, or rather her advanced age means she can no longer get around other than in a wheelchair.
He is Pierrot, a lonely little boy, shunned by the other children and never invited to birthday parties.
She is Martha, an old lady living alone with her dog, a retired concert pianist whose fingers have lost none of their virtuosity.
It is music that will bring them together: he, the son of the building's caretaker, living on the ground floor, and she, the former great concert pianist on the fifth floor. A relationship of mutual help and deep complicity develops between the two of them. Martha introduces Pierrot to the piano. As the lessons progress, the child takes on this new language, and music becomes his means of expression. The words dance in his head to the rhythm of the melodies of the great composers, which are transformed into songs.
A story of transmission and friendship between a little boy and an old lady. A show to discover the most beautiful piano works by Chopin, Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Liszt, Bach, Mendelssohn and Satie.
