She had settled, with her husband Eugène Manet and her daughter Julie, at 4 rue de la Princesse (today 1 avenue de la Drionne) in this house, which was rented out every summer between 1881 and 1884. In 1882, she stayed there for most of the year. The house had a magnificent flower garden. This house of happiness will open on Sunday 1 December as a space dedicated to the artist, an Impressionist painter as well as a mother, wife and friend.
The museum space is structured around 7 sequences with didactic titles.
