Between passion and condemnation, imprisonment and exile, Emma and Pierre will live according to their convictions. Their story, inspired by real events, questions the freedom to love in the face of society's dictates. How far can love resist in the face of prohibitions?
In the bustling city of Marseille in the late 1960s, Pierre Lecomte, a 17-year-old high school student, and his friends begin a new school year. Their encounter with Emma Lefèbvre, their new French teacher, is a real revelation. A young woman committed to modern and progressive ideas, the teacher advocates freedom and emancipation, quickly captivating her students with her avant-garde vision of the world.
As society was in turmoil, the events of May 1968 crystallised tensions. In this revolutionary context, a romance blossomed between Emma and Pierre. But their love defied convention and sparked a wave of indignation. Pierre's parents, outraged, reported the relationship to the authorities, triggering a tragedy in which love rhymed with forbidden.
