IRONMAN 70.3 comes to Versailles!

It’s the major sports event of the autumn! The very first edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles will take place on Sunday, October 11.

From the swim leg in the Grand Canal and the bike course through the scenic local countryside, to the run through the Royal City, the town will come alive with the energy of a major and festive sporting event.

To support athletes, fans, and visitors throughout the weekend, the Versailles Grand Parc Tourist Office team will be right at the heart of the IRONMAN Village on Avenue de Paris.

Friday, October 9: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Saturday, October 10: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, October 11: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

🚗 Practical info & traffic: plan your travel ahead!

A major sports event like this requires specific road arrangements to ensure safety for both athletes and spectators.

Key information for Sunday, October 11:

Traffic and parking disruptions: several major roads in Versailles (especially around Avenue de Paris, Pièce d'Eau des Suisses, and access routes to the Chevreuse Valley) as well as nearby towns will be closed or strictly restricted, particularly during the morning and early afternoon.
Use public transport: to get to the IRONMAN Village or the Tourist Office stress-free, Versailles train stations (especially Versailles Château Rive Gauche, located directly across from our office, as well as Versailles Chantiers and Versailles Rive Droite) are your best option!
