Benefiting from a transfer of Fine Arts collections from the municipal library and then gradually enriched with purchases, donations and bequests, the Lambinet Museum is a veritable "collectors museum".
The establishment offers a wide variety of works of different techniques from the Renaissance to the mid-20th century: paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings, but also furniture and works of art. The art of living in Versailles in the 18th century, the history of the city of Versailles and particularly the French Revolution are the main focuses of this museum, which has been known as the "Musée de France" since 2004.
