Statement from IRONMAN France dated 9 July regarding the postponement of the event:
This morning, the Yvelines Prefecture asked IRONMAN France to postpone the IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles due to high temperatures and their potential impact on the health and safety resources deployed in the region.
Following several discussions with local and national authorities, an agreement has been reached to postpone the event to a later date in order to safeguard the health and safety of all.
IRONMAN remains fully committed to supporting its athletes and host communities in the face of these exceptional circumstances and shares the disappointment felt by the athletes, volunteers, partners and the local community.
All registered athletes have received an email containing detailed information and the next steps. Our priority is now to confirm the new date for the event. The various options that will be offered to registered athletes, including refund and transfer options, will be communicated shortly.
