For me it's the smell of basil, for you it's your grandfather's cologne or a Backstreets Boys song.
Things that remind us of the child we once were.
And they're all different.
We don't have the same references,
We're strangers,
But as surprising as it may seem to you,
Tonight for the time of a show,
You'll see that I'm you and you're me.
We've all done a great job to eat as a rod sorter at Gifi,
Had a guy/girl break our hearts,
Lost your keys on the way to work,
Bought clothes when we had no money,
Checked your passport 56 times before flying,
Lost something 76 times when it was in our pocket,
In short, real life,
The one that makes us human, the one that reminds us where we are, but without forgetting where we came from, without forgetting the smell of basil.
